Charles "Charlie" Quist who had a passion for learning and helping others. He developed culinary expertise in Texas favorites, such as home brewing, Chili-Member of CASI (Chili Association Society International), & Bar-B-Q-member of "The Original Pearl Cookers". He was an avid Harley Rider and has ridden in all 50 states. Charlie also loved Scuba Diving, Tennis & Golf.
At the age 48 on August 28, 2008 he lost his battle with Grade IV Malignant Glioblastoma (Brain Tumor).
I would like to give a big "Thank You" to each and everyone one of you that walked this journey with Charlie & Jo. Doctor visit after doctor visit, radiation, chemotherapy, test after test. It truely is a blessing to have so many that were willing to give their time to get what was needed taken care of. Thank You again for all the love & support. Please lite a candle or leave a message, and as Charlie would always say "Have a nice day".

Survived by LOVING WIFE JO: stepchildren Westley Bachmeyer/Kayla and Wendy Bachmeyer; step-grandchildren Jason & Oliver; Uncle Mike Robinson and wife, Tracy; Mother-in-law, Nettie Rhodes; Special pets Snafu (mean Kitty), Fubar (nice Kitty), and Herman (the snake); also survived by numerous Special & Loyal friends/family. Family & Friends gathered on Monday, September 1, 2008 from Noon until 2:00 p.m. in The Chapel of Addison Funeral Home where the Funeral Service began at 2:00 p.m. Interment followed at Tranquility Oaks Cemetery.
